Buddika Safari & Resort - Udawalawe

The hotel was in a stunning and awesome position very close to Udawalawe. It also was to National Park.

The room was really nice and had A/C, plus the staff were super friendly! 😊

The hotel was in an amazing location, very close to Safari. Moreover, it was not far from the bus stop, the fields with sugar canes and Midigama. The room was spacious and bright, offered an electric kettle, climate control, and a work desk...

The staff here went above and beyond in their service, and I loved the delicious breakfast; also, the location was fantastic being near the sugar cane fields, bus stop, and Safari.

The room was so cozy and comfortable, with a nice seating area to relax in. Loved the private bathroom with a hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The 24-hour front desk made it easy to get assistance whenever we needed it. Air conditioning in every room was a lifesaver in the hot weather. Having a kettle in the room was a great convenience for making tea or coffee. Enjoyed watching our favorite shows on the flat-screen TV in the room. The triple room had an electric kettle, which was a nice touch for making hot beverages. The tile/marble floor in the triple room added a touch of elegance.

Personally, I didn't find much use for the air conditioning, but others might appreciate it.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, with clean, spacious rooms and convenient access to the nearby national park. The staff, especially the manager, were pretty good too ensure our stay was perfect, introducing us to local culture, organizing a fantastic safari, and even treating us to home-cooked meals and fresh coconuts from their own tree.

Buddika - the owner - is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. He arranged an amazing safari tour and even provided breakfast to take with us. Highly recommend!

Great location close to the park entrance, making it very convenient for safari trips. the rooms were clean and comfortable, surpassing our expectations. the friendly host was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so there isn't much to do in the immediate vicinity. the bus stop next to the hotel can be unreliable, so it's advisable to contact the hotel beforehand to confirm transportation.

had an amazing stay. buddika was an exceptional host, treating us like friends. he went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic - helping us with cash, showing us his family's sugar cane plot, and even giving us fresh coconuts. the room and location were perfect, and the safari organized by buddika was unforgettable. highly recommended!
